日野原博士（医学博士、文化勲章受章、聖路加国際病院理事長など歴任）は通算5回 JCCP を訪問され、3回説教して下さいました。最初の訪問は 1952年（サンフランシスコ講和条約締結の年、41歳）に渡辺長老の息子さん渡辺次郎博士の依頼で、西海岸からNYCを訪問する途中 Philadelphia に立ち寄り、JCCP で最初の説教をして下さいました。そして長く交流は途絶えていましたが、大塚長老が 2005年再度ご訪問を依頼し実現しました。2007年には「新老人の会」の会員約 30名を連れて訪問して下さいました。そして 2009年と 2013年（102歳）にも訪問下さいました。

Dr. Hinohara (Doctor of Medicine, recipient of the Order of Culture, and former Chairman of St. Luke's International Hospital, among other distinguished positions) visited JCCP a total of five times, preaching three times. His first visit was in 1952—the year the San Francisco Peace Treaty was signed—at the age of 41. At the request of Dr. Jiro Watanabe, the son of Elder Watanabe, Dr. Hinohara stopped by Philadelphia on his way to New York City from the West Coast and gave his first sermon at JCCP. After a long hiatus, Elder Otsuka requested another visit in 2005, which was fulfilled. In 2007, he visited again, bringing with him about thirty members of the Shin-rōjin no kai ("New Elderly Association"). He also visited in 2009 and 2013 (at the age of 102).
